People feel seen and heard when I listen to them. I have a Masters in Social Work from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration.
I see possibilities and spot strengths where you might not (yet). I’m certified in Positive Psychology Coaching from Wholebeing Institute, and a mental fitness coach via Positive Intelligence.
I can help you find and amplify your own voice. I founded and led a massive grass-roots live storytelling series in 60+ cities and women’s leadership incubator called LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER (also an acclaimed anthology published by Putnam Books, 2015).
I know the inner critic well. I’m a professional creative with enormous ambition and equally enormous vulnerability. I understand how these go hand in hand, and how to persevere even when outcomes lie outside of our control.
I’m a parent and partner. My husband and I have been together for 26 years. We have a high-schooler and a college-aged son. I’ve also worked with grieving families. Whatever you’re going through, you’re not alone.
Ann’s coaching helped me get unstuck. I was firmly on a path that (in hindsight) was not the best fit for me. It was Ann’s keen insight that helped me see my strengths in a different light. She was an invaluable source of support and guidance as I began to take brave steps to create new goals. Ann gave me the courage to change my life and pursue my dreams. I’m so excited about my new life, a life filled with meaning and purpose.

Working with Ann was such a clarifying experience for me! Before working with her, I had some vague ideas of what I wanted to do; but, I had no understanding of how to make those ideas become reality. Ann is a great listener and guided me through the work of gathering my scattered thoughts and distilling them into an actual goal. There were a few times when I’m sure there was a cartoon lightbulb over my head when something clicked as Ann and I were working. The tools that Ann gave me, and worked through with me, have produced an actual plan and map for achieving two goals that have been on my “to-do” list for years. Having a plan (that I’ve already started implementing) has removed a huge weight from my shoulders and helped alleviate the guilt I felt for never reaching these goals. I am so glad Ann and I were able to work together!

Finding myself in a rut — actually frozen in place — about career transition choices, Life Coach Ann Imig guided me through the uncertainty and fear that bound my life and happiness. After working with Ann, I now experience dilemmas and my life/the world with a ‘that’s interesting’ curious mindset. It’s made all the difference in my approach to my career and my path through life.

I worked with Ann through many projects, most significant of which was her LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER (LTYM) project that she launched. Ann saw me through my doubt, and that led me to larger storytelling projects, many national. I will forever be grateful to her for opening up my eyes to myself and my potential.
